"I have always loved art, though I've worked in many different areas. I studied Tourism and spent my free time on art. I find that art is one of the most influential ways of touching human beings.

"My first project was painting my own house using textures, which I enhanced with textile materials.

"I like contemporary handicrafts made from recycled materials, I collect them and make my own too. I enjoy finding new uses for old things, transforming and recycling.

"I lived in Europe for three years, in Geneva, where I began to craft utilitarian items. The first thing I did was to craft an ashtray from cement, which by the way sold very well! When I returned to Brazil I kept designing and making new things such as tables. I've been doing this since 1999 and I really love it – I enjoy working with colors, my greatest pleasure.

"Eventually I developed a collage method on small moving items, then moved on to manipulating images on the computer and cover boxes and coasters. In recent years I have been working with established artists and photographers, Brazilian as well as international, placing their works on these objects."
