"I was born in 1946 in Ancash, Peru. I am a self-taught artist, dedicating myself to ceramics and craftmaking since my youth. I specialize in masks influenced by the Vicus, Mochica, and Nazca cultures. I focus largely on the mix of form and color, and despite a lack of formal training I have created a unique, personal style. I try to always remember my roots, while also learning from my readings and travels. Everyday I hope to improve myself, and achieve a style that is both gratifying for me and for those who are interested in my work. Now that I know my art will reach many people, I will dedicate all my efforts and emotion into creating pieces which will resonate in the hearts and minds of my future following. Thank you."
