"I was born and brought up in a small town called Ramgarh Shekhawati in Rajasthan. I was born to a goldsmith family and hence, from a very young age, I was exposed to the fascinating world of jewelry. Though small, our town hosted some of the most exquisite architects of the ancient eras. In the past, the roads of the Shekhawati were used as routes by traders who would exchange goods from Asia for those of Europe, Africa and Middle East.

"At the age of 14, I moved to Delhi where I pursued my high school education. Afterward, I decided to go to Boston for further education. In 2004, I graduated from Boston College with a major in Finance and Operations. It was fun studying in a different country. The culture, tradition and lifestyle are very different there and as a result, I had the opportunity to learn about various cultures. This probably helped me choose the career I am in right now.

"After my graduation, I worked for a consulting firm in New York and Boston. However, I was not satisfied. Deep down, I found something missing… maybe creativity. I wanted to do something of my own and I found satisfaction in jewelry. I started designing and prospecting some silver pieces to small privately owned designer stores in Boston and New York. The response was overwhelming and this is how it all started.

"In June of 2005, I decided to move to back India and develop my designs further. My themes are mostly contemporary for people of my generation.

"I have participated in the Boston Gift Show, the Dallas Gifts Fair and MACEF, Milan, all in 2005. I am currently working with two Boston designers for a sapphire necklace competition organized by the Boston Art Museum.

"I am really happy to be associated with Novica. I am sure it will help my designs reach art lovers around the world."
