Mahavir

"Hello, my name is Mahavir and I was born and brought up in the beautiful and historical city of Jaipur. The scenery is beautiful, and the historical monuments and warm people are what makes this city so special.

"I studied commerce, but ever since I was a child, I have always been interested in creating new things. I this creative instinct in me is what has made me come this far. Designing jewelries and learning about gemstones has been my passion. Though I do not have a professional training, I have making jewelry from a young age. It started as a hobby and it slowly turned into a vocation which I decided to make my profession.

"Feeling confident to venture on my own, I started my own workshop and I specialized in gemstones. It was a tough job at the initial stage, but after receiving much appreciation for my work, it soon became smooth sailing. Later, I launched my own jewelry collections, and I have been doing so ever since.

"I design all my jewelries and I thoroughly enjoy my work. My workshop is set up in such a way that I can work on hand-crafted pieces as well as with casting. My designs are traditional as well as contemporary. I am especially proud of my Jaipur line, which features gemstones in designs that represent my beloved hometown. In addition, I've continued my work with semi-precious stones, which I cut and facet at the workshop. At this point in my career, I spend most of my time designing and there are several artisans at the workshop helping me transform my ideas into real items.

"I believe designing jewelry is one of the most creative art forms. One can design an endless amount of jewelry items. Each new creation inspires me to do more.
