Sandeep Malhotra

"Hello. My name is Sandeep but friends and family call me Prince. I really don't know how I got this name and I never bothered to ask because I enjoy this name. I was born and brought up in Delhi and I did all my schooling and college from Delhi University. While in school, I was the 'head boy' so it was really cool. I had lots of fun but I also had to take on a lot of responsibilities.

"My family has worked in the textile field since 1968. In 1991, while I was still studying, I started to get involved in my family's endeavor. After graduation, I worked fulltime with them. While my father looked after the yarn spinning, I took over the textile unit. We design and create shawls, throws, stoles, cushion covers, table mats, curtains and more in a variety of different materials. Some 30 artisans collaborate with us.

"It's a great opportunity for me to be associated with Novica. I hope that through our relation, my family's textiles take off to new heights."
