Leticia Orozco Santana began to design jewelry items when she 19 years old. Over the years she evolved into designing a variety of accessories including textiles, weaves, jewelry and hats.
"Gemstones have always been my passion," admits Orozco, and in 1992 she decided to learn about different silversmith techniques, as well as cutting and polishing gemstones. By 1994, Orozco settled on a style she has termed "contemporary baroque," influenced by nature's varied forms and textures.
Her designs found considerable recognition and eventually she was able to establish her own workshop, "Antique Mexican Silver." Orozco's collections are characterized by the use of natural materials and the optimum quality of her work. Her designs go from the classic to the contemporary, she likes to follow international trends. Orozco is now considered one of Mexico's foremost jewelers and her works enjoy great renown both in her homeland as well as in Canada, United States, Europe and South America.
