Born in October 1972, Amalia Martínez is now married and has two wonderful children. She graduated in Economy and confesses to have harbored a passion for the arts throughout her life. Three years ago, she was finally able to give free reign to her creative instinct as she registered in some art courses, which included vitrofusion.
Amalia confides that studying fused glass techniques has been something unique and special to her, because it allows her to express her imagination. Nature's intense colors and varied forms have become her inspiration.
As time passes by, Amalia becomes more and more immersed in her glass art; in fact, she is known to pass a whole day in her studio unaware of the time and always painting and creating. Such is the magic that she found in glass that she has experimented creating a variety of decorative items as well as original jewelry.
She starts her work by analyzing the color and shape of the glass; then she proceeds to design the item, which could feature a defined shape or be completely abstract. In the case of jewelry, she seeks to design something that would make the wearer feel unique and natural.
A perfectionist, Amalia is constantly updating her technique through courses on vitrofusion and the different materials that can enhance the quality of her work, express better what she has in mind and of course, materials that would appeal more to the general public. Her wish is for her work to touch everyone's heart.
