"I began crafting jewelry and belts about five years ago and it was my daughter who introduced me to this material. She would make her own necklaces and belts to add a special touch to her clothes and I used to watch her intently. Little by little, I began to take an interest in it. I used to help her organize the pieces, embroider and even share my opinions. Eventually I began buying my own materials and making my own products, which I always kept at home.
"When my neighbors got to see what I had been doing, they wanted to buy my products and started placing orders. My collections began to take shape and my production was increasing. Meanwhile, my biggest concern was to ensure my designs were original and different. I keep an eye out for fashion trends, but my designs are my own.
"This work is a kind of therapy for me. Arts and crafts in general keep me company in day-to-day living. I cannot conceive a life without them!
"My necklaces and belts are the reflection of my hands' dexterity at interpreting, in a delicate and unique way, what's in my imagination."
