"I was born in Lima, but my family hails from Huanuco and Apurimac. It wasn't until I was 15 years old when I traveled to my parents' birthplaces, and there I discovered a great passion for silver works. Little by little I became more immersed in this wonderful world, and I learned on my own how to make my own designs. After a few mistakes, I was eventually able to refine my designs and perfect my skills.
"My inspiration comes from the different Andean cultures, as well as Peru's beautiful flora and fauna.
"My husband Oscar and I have four children, who grew up learning about this art. As they grew older they began to help me and now we have become a family enterprise, always in search of innovation.
"One learns from experience, and I remember dearly how I first got started. I would create the pieces a few at a time, as I was uncertain people would like my designs. I was happily surprised to see how people indeed liked my work!
"My workshop is at home, and we slowly made room for a studio where I could give free reign to my creativity, my jewels, my workstation, my environment, my home.
"I am very proud of the collections I'm showcasing through Novica for the world to see. I feel happy and reassured to be part of Novica."
