"Hi, my name is Maetee Aummaritruengsak, and friends call 'Noi.' I was born July 17, 1970 and I am the youngest child. My family used to work in a stone mill, creating clay molds, and in drawing. I grew up in this artistic atmosphere and have always enjoyed creating my own compositions and productions. I chose to study Vocational Education, in Fine Arts, where most of the curriculum featured practical studies that I found very useful in the pursuit of my dreams. However, when I graduated in 1993, I did not work in art at all.
"First I joined a band and we performed in the evenings whereas during the day, I would help my friends painting
khratong [floating vessels]. Later on, I started creating clay molds with Mr. Phutthra while still performing with the band.
"I had not painted any ancient Thai compositions for a very long time, so when I began making them again, I felt right at home. I felt extremely happy to return to this type of work! Now I am drawing, sketching, and creating new styles everyday. And yes, I still play with the band!
"I know this is something I want to do for the rest of my life, because I love this kind of work. I am very glad to show my products on Novica's website, because they represent Thailand's classic artistry as well as contemporary designs."
