Born December 19, 1939, Manuel Enciso loves Peruvian art. He has studied his country's history all his life, visiting every region. "I enjoyed spending time in Andean villages," he recalls. His love for his country and his own creativity led him to develop several kinds of handicrafts, beginning with reverse painted glass and wood in the 1970s. He eventually went into weaving, always seeking to create innovative and well-finished pieces that reflect his Peruvian heritage.
