Luis Abraham Rojas Suárez was born in Huancayo on May 17, 1977. "When I was just seven years old I'd go into the family workshop," he recalls. "Even though I couldn't reach the loom, I'd climb up and pull on the threads until I had a badly made piece. And this is how I learned to weave my own designs. I loved it. After school, while my friends would go out to play or just go for a walk, I'd run straight home, where my toys were the loom and yarn.
