"My name is Marcela Paredes Huacles and I was born on May 28, 1945, in Huancavelica, in the Peruvian hillsides. I learned the art of arpilleria from the organizations created by working mothers. My motivation was a will to succeed and I have been dedicated to this art for 20 years now. I hope my arpilleria pieces will reach other homes around the world, so people can appreciate Peruvian customs."
