"I was born in Venice, Italy in 1971. After finishing Art Lyceum, I moved to Florence to pursue my passion - textiles. I got my degree in Textile Design from the International Polytechnic of Fashion in 1993, and for the next six years, I worked in different fashion companies as a stylist.
"Eventually my passion for textiles lead me to Indonesia. I wanted to learn more about batik techniques and improve my skills. At first, I started working for a company's design department, developing mainly soft furnishings, interior decorations and accessories. After two years, I decided to stay in Bali and now I work as a textile and fashion designer, as well as an interior consultant.
"What always fascinates me is the ability to create contemporary patterns using a very ancient and charming technique such as batik. I also work with other traditional textiles including hand-woven cotton,
ikat, and silk, when I design and create patchwork appliqué for pillows, bed covers, wall hangings, sarongs and other items of clothing."
