Made Ladri

Made Ladri was born December 31, 1959 as the second of three children. Since her father died and her mother remarried, little Ladri was taken care of by her grandmother. She couldn't finish her elementary school and worked as a housemaid for about seven years. In 1977, she decided to go back home and take a course in dressmaking. She eagerly rode a bicycle back and forth from the site of the course, some nine miles from her village. One month later, Ladri moved to a larger town. With the help of her friends, she took orders for dresses while she continued to learn about fashion.

Ladri married in 1980, and her reputation as a fashion designer is growing. She has assistants to help her with the demand of her work, while her husband and four children, support her endeavours wholeheartedly. Her beautiful designs encompass dresses, pants, sarongs and much more.
